MEET YOUR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Anne Marie DeFaria, PT, MScPT, BSc
Registered Physiotherapist

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Owner WellNest Physiotherapy

Anne Marie completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at The University of Toronto in 2015. She has extensive experience working in private practice orthopaedics and in paediatrics at ErinoakKids and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. These experiences have provided her with the skills to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize clients’ goals and well-being.

She is always levelling up her skills through continuing education courses, and wants to ensure her clients are receiving the most up to date evidenced-based and effective interventions.

Anne Marie’s approach involves a combination of manual therapy (hands-on) techniques, active rehab and exercise, and using appropriate adjuncts to treatment including acupuncture, k-taping, and soft tissue release. She also has advanced post-graduate level training in assessing and treating the pelvic floor, and is devoted to taking a holistic view to get at the root cause of the issue.

Anne Marie began WellNest Physiotherapy in hopes of filling a gap in the rehab industry. She wants to make it more easily accessible to get you the care you need, when life is always getting more busy and fast-paced. She is a mom to a 1-year old and understands the challenges with finding time to get to a clinic for things that matter! She is a firm believer that when we are moving well, we can lead more fulfilling lives.
